Lake Talquin slabs
Fished with a good friend from Alabama today and had some real nice slab crappie. All fish were caught on jigs in 25' to 35' FOW long lining with 1/4 oz jigs. You have to use larger jigs in order to get them down to where Talquin and then on to lake Crescent for the rest of December.

I have some friends that fish Talquin a lot and they told me how they were catching them. I tried tight lining for 2 or 3 days and didn't have great luck so I change every thing to long lining. I have a chart that tells you the weights and how deep they will run at a given speed, pretty cool.Originally Posted by Percidae_Papermouth

Great pictures Vic!!! It sure looks warm there compared to what it's like here. I'm like Bennett I would like to see that chart you are talking about. I have read a lot about lake Talquin.
