Buggs 5-14
Decided to fish yesterday after work, got on the water about 6:00pm and hit my regular brush piles. However the bite was slow, as there was about 6 more feet of water on them than usual. Normally these piles are 10-12 feet down. With the high water they were averaging about 18 feet. Went in search of some more 'shallow' piles.
Found a pile at the end of a dock, down 10 feet, that came up to 5 feet of the suface. Sat there the rest of the evening pulling them in, one after the other. Some of the fastest paced fishing this year. Did not keep track of the counts, some small fish and some nice sized. Planning on going back this evening to see if they are still around. Talked to others at the ramp that also had success on shallow brush.
Water clarity is ok in the major creeks, main lake is still very muddy.
