In my opinion the electric sonars do not hurt them ,nor a slow running TM ,it's the bump ,dropping things and so forth, if fish is 8 or more feet deep,I jig 1/2 of the time and caught plenty over top of them and never cut sonars off and may be 3 on at a time, I think he had it on slow and even though the motor inside it makes a noise ,it is not a sudden noise that would scare them,this is only my opinion and want be first ttime I was wrong ,just ask wife,LOL. Many disagree with me on this one through
