    Default Saturday-Buggs-64 crappie

Before I give my report I give you the best looking office chair ever made.

Now to the report. My favorite site, my Lund sitting pier side at the ramp at Eastland Creek, ready to head out.

I stayed in Eastland all day long and while 64 crappie is the most I have caught in this creek, unfortunately, a lot of them were small. I did however get 5 that went 1lb or better with the biggest at 1lb 4oz.

I also had 4 that were 15oz including the 13"er in this video which I could not believe was only 15oz.

Early on I could only find them 15' deep in the brush. I had to drop my Wasshoppah into the brush and they loved pearl/chartreuse. I had some luck casting Cajun Cricket but had to get it down to 15' as well.

Later in the day I found some in water around 10'-12' deep and got them 6' deep casting Blue Ice. I even found two new brush piles of which one gave up two of my 1lb'ers within a minute of each other. I think I was only catching females and most looked to be spawned out with a few still have belly's on them. I did not catch any in water less than 10' deep.

I was up at 4:00 and got home at 9:30. It was a long day but fun. I let all the crappie go as I hate cleaning crappie that late at night. Water temp was 64-68 and the weather was down right nice. Lots of bass fishermen zipping around Eastland.

Sounds like a typical fishing day for this time of year--the days will get longer. (Sleep is overrated.)

Nice work George! Most of them have now spawned, so it's deep water fishing until next spring!

Way to go Tap. Great report and cool video. Cool pics of brush on your sounder. It is kinda strange how pale Buggs crappie seemingly are.

    I was casting 1/16oz.

I forgot to post this snapshot. This is brush in water around 12' deep with a small school of crappie near it. Not a bite early in the day here but I got around a dozen later in the day.

Oh Tap ,that is a good looking chair you made, wander if you could make 2 Dallas chairs for my boat,LOL but I do think they would be cool onmy boat and a Pitts on yours, I believe you would agree with at lease half of what I said, well that would be an improvement since most would not agree with that much,LOL ,again it looks good but I love to Kidd, oh I love your SI snap shot

Looks like ya had a fun day. In the video I heard the what I guess was the servos turning the trolling motor. Is that correct? I got to the point of turning off all electronics and trying to be quiet when looking for older smarter BIG fish.
