And wear disguises? I believe most lurkers eventually join, good for the site and for interest in fishing overall. I frequently "lurk" and participate on several other forums, in states where I can't possibly fish. I even comment on things that I know nothing about, which is practically everything! The only part of the site that equires a PW is the Totally Off Topic forum.

Currently there are 302 members viewing Crappie.com and 1,091 guest. I check this number regularly and it never seems to change much. Draw your own conclusions.

If we could look at the user log for this site, it would show that a high percentage of those 1,091 "guests" are actually search engine spiders.

Yes that is a different place and does not show guests. When you are looking at all the forums page on down to just below them and there is a section called "What's going on"

Not that I make a ton of posts, but I'm not very interested in using a different forum. I'll just continue to post on the regular one. I do agree with MM though, we really need that super secret handshake thing. That's funny.
