I fished there sunday thinking with the sun being out bright and very little wind it would be a decent day to fish. I stopped at my go to spot and landed a nice fish casting a 1/16 oz jig with a Kalin blue ice twister tail. Then the winds started to blow then the clouds rolled in. Man did the temps drop. I did fish till around 12 with limited success. The places I thought would hold fish were empty. the 12 fish i did catch were in 20 to 23 feet of water. All fish were holding on cover and it was a slow bite. I sure will be glad to see the fish start to make their spawning runs. I keep trying places I think they should be but with no success. Next time I'll just follow Texas PeteWe need some warmer weather. Tight lines. JIM.B
I caught one friday that was significantly darker than the rest... but I wouldnt say tuxedo black yet

Thanks for report Jim. Glad you got a tug on the line! I am finishing sealing new countertops today and had planned/hoped to fish the next couple days at BDR. But don't trust any weather reports right now.. Guess we have to wait 3 more weeks for good fishing.. ( don't think I can make it!)
Thanks for the report, Jim. I fished a different lake and didn't even get a single bite (from 7:30 - 12:30).
I decided not to even try Sunday. I was still trying to warm up from Friday and Saturday. I'm like you, in that I usually sample several shallower spots adjacent to where I have been catching them in good numbers just to see if some are moving up a little. So far, no luck in that department. Don't remember which trip it was, but on one of my recent trips within the last couple of weeks I also caught a few that were darker than the rest. That got me thinking they were preparing for the move, but haven't seen anything like that lately. See you on the water.

Glad to see you got out Jim. The wind and colder temps are keeping me at the gym instead of on the water. I will be going south this Saturday and hope to do well. I'll keep you posted. Stay warm, thanks for the report.
That sun does make a big difference this time of year. I am with you on the need for some warmer weather but it doesn't look like we are going to get it this week.

Glad you found some biting Jim. We decided to hit another Suffolk lake Sunday because we stopped at the gas station on 460 and there were a mess of guys heading over to Meade/Cahoon for a bass tournament. Should have followed them instead, as we caught stumps all day. No fish boated. Only a few hits. Staying close to home this weekend and gonna hit Whitehurst.
