What (best-bet for a carpet-bagger, yankee Virginian) boat ramps are there for Pasquatank River? Was thinking about driving down to NC rivers from Norfolk.
I found Sawyer's Creek. Is there one closer?
How about Little river?
Thanks for the help. PMs too.

For the Ptank, Sawyer's creek is about the best bet. Unless you want to drive a few minutes further and put over at Lambs Grocery and Seafood on 343. They sell minnow's too if you need those. Exactly how big or small a boat are you talking? I know of a few areas for the Ptank and Little river both that may be of interest.
Hey TR,
Thanks for the response. I have a 16' 7" Alumacraft semi-v with a 25 hp. I have been driving about 1 hour and 15 minutes to get to IT, and I figured I could probably get to some other NC waters in about the same amount of time. I'm looking to find some places down there.

Little river access is on Hall Creek and that is where You want to fish for crappie. It can muddy up pretty good but is good fishing. It is about 10 or 15 minutes south of EC. TR covered the Ptank river pretty good. Never fished there before but have at Halls. Good crappie fishing on Newbegun creek and Knobbs on Ptank. Heard there was some cover in Sawyers that crappie will get on.CF

Halls creek road will be your best bet for the little river. If you want to drive bout 15 more minutes you could be fishing the Perquimans river. One ramp in hertford downtown on right after you pass over the s bridge or run down why 37 and put in by the bridge in believe. It's steep but I put over there with a 17 foot ranger fisherman. You could also run down 58 to hwy 13. Take a right on 158 and put over at shoups landing. Run up river and fish the chowan. The chowan gives a short ride up into the meherrin or a couple other creeks. Go online to ncwrc.org I think it is and they have a map of all the state maintained ramps.
