    Default Heck of a Slump

I have not been in one like this in ten years. I fished The Yeopim 3 weeks before Christmas. Salmon creek 2 weeks before Christmas. Pembroke Yesterday. Out of those 3 trips, I caught 7 crappie, a jackfish, a gar and a flounder. I have not brought home a fish yet. Did catch one at Yeopim 14 inches and caught the flounder there too. but each place had me spend a full day there and when You only catch two or three all day, it sucks. I have some slow days from time to time but this has turned into a streak.

figured I might could cheat the streak and switch gears so I went with Dad today Striper fishing at The Albemarle Sound bridge. First time we have been after rockfish in three years and we went loaded for bear. Threw everything at them that we could trolling and only caught one all day and he was an inch short. So I still don't have any meat in the fridge. Got a friend that fished the Chowan river Yesterday and caught 40 crappie. He has done well up there for the last two years. I think it is time to look for some new territory. Also have the Alligator river to back up on. May have to go down there my next trip out and get my bearings back.

The only good thing about the whole deal is I have successfully been able to beat, punch and kick the crap out of that skunk that has been trying to infest mine and Dad's boats. Might need to take the Pistol with me next time and shoot that SOB. He getten way to close to the crappie combine.CF

Wow Ed, you stink at fishing! I'll get my mom to check ancestry com and see if we are somehow related. I hope things turn around for you as you are now only one step away from becoming AC !

DonG, talked to a buddy that was fishin this past w/e, jiggin spoons for stripers in 45-50fow, caught 2 nice crappie on the spoon. he said it was the deepest he's ever caught a crappie. Do you have that much line on ya reels? ya need to come on down to Buggs, with the warmin trend they predictin, the fish should really go to bitin by the w/e. and if it will make all y'all feel any better, I got skunked 4 times last yr. it happens to the best of us. Just makes me fish harder...

Uh oh! Lets see... you threw a good one back, so your offering to the fish god is covered... I think you need to consider sacrificing a chicken. You need to get this curse off by bash time... of course I am gonna win the bash this year anyway so...
