I did not keep records and I honestly do not remember all the trips. But I did go to burnt mills and hunt all over, even went past the bridge 4 miles in the swamp, it was really cool. One a day in late summer I wanted to eat fish and all we caught were 9" some 9.5" fish so we kept 25 between us and made quick of cleaning and they sure cooked up quick and were very tasty.
Here is how to clean a lot of crappie in short order:
Maybe this will work, 1st time I am posting a video.
That's fast !!
a lot faster than me!
CRAPPIE fishing is not a sport, its a way of life!
Wait just a minute! Are you telling me that people EAT crappie? So not only do I not really fish much, don't catch much when I do go, what little I catch are small, and then they would have been tasty too??? I,m awful at so many levels. I'm only one level away from being connected to Kevin Bacon.

that is indeed fast but, a little patients and you can do a better job and get ALL the meat off the fish. 20 fish usually takes me about 1 hour. i use a small knife to seperate the meat from the fish then a large filet knife to remove the skin.
That if fricken quick Man. My electric fillet knife is slower but it is easier for me to keep using it than to learn that skill with the blade. Very talented there.CF

LOL, that is not me cleaning fish, just something I saw on utube. I use the small knife and big knife to skin method. But for all you that do use an electric knife, this method surly looks every bit as quick if not quicker and gets as much meat. I bet this does not work on the bigger fish as the rib cage bones will not cut through that easy.
While quick the video does not show cutting out the rib cage. No big deal, just a few extra seconds.
