Half a dozen is great for me most days haha in all seriousness though, I fish jigs exclusively and last time out on Ray Roberts here in North Texas water temps and outside were exactly what you're describing. I had my best luck on bridge pilings 20-30fow 15-25 ft down depending on the pilings.
There's tons of standing timber on Ray Roberts and guys fishing with minnows did well in about 15-20 fow when they found a tree holding them. They were hit or miss with jigs. Seems everyone is having the best luck with minnows that I've talked to out there and all the lakes here have slowed down tremendously.

On a side note I have a post about a recent trip I made with my brother in law up in Arkansas (similar water temps, but the morning was cool from a cold front blowing in then heated back up to the high 90s in the afternoon). We caught some really nice ones in 6 fow on a bluff underneath an overhanging tree that was touching the water.


FWIW: all of my best fish lately have been on 1/16 heads with a 2" curly tail in gray/silver flake or white depending on their mood that goes for vertical jigging and casting.
