Not to worried about the shallows my duck boat is accustomed to those situations. But it is better to know since it can bang ya up going 26mph into a sandbar. Lol.

Lake Ray Roberts is a hour and 20 minutes from you great fishing for all of it!

I've got a friend that lives on Bridgeport. We used to launch in Wizard Wells, when the lake was 8 foot low not 22, and whack gadwal, teal, mallards and sprigs. No one was hunting up there. We had numerous 30 bird hunts. Before we found that ramp, we'd launch at his private ramp and run up river. It was an hour boat ride. I've seen 20lbs plus blue cats up shallow in the winter. I've heard the crappie bite was really good around the rock pile. But I don't see why you couldn't fish at runaway bay. Buck Creek, in Tioga, has some good fishing on Ray Roberts.
You think I like to duck hunt? I love to crappie fish!

Thanks Pintail. I drove around there a couple weeks ago of course like everything else it's bad low. I'll hafta scout it out. On found two promising spots so far, but that's all they are is promising.
