    Default Maiden Voyage

Took new boat out to Granger yesterday... had a great time. Didn't catch a lot of fish, but did get a few in the boat. Officially slimmed! spent too much time trying to figure out iPilot and remote on TM. Will connect foot control next time and see how that works. My temporary transducer mount for SI worked well. Spent today making it more permanent. Adding a front FF and connecting to TM US2 was nice. Can really tell when you are on top of bush piles.

Only took 4 tries to get boat back on trailer!. Hopefully more fishing and less fiddling next time. Gonna' make a crappie fisherman out of me yet...

I tried out the foot pedal the first time I got my I-Pilot on the water. Been in the storage bag ever since. Love the remote. Nice looking ride, by the way.

Nice boat, Congrats! Glad you got out and things will get better and better!
Also when I still had my iPilot I had both foot and remote in boat and used both, but found that the remote actually was better and I think a little faster than using the foot control. However when steering it for trolling I use the Constant and foot control. Now I have the iLink and still learning about that thing. Do love spot lock for a few different type fishing styles. Example if fishing for the green trash fish and say your on the edge of a grass line on a ridge, it's great to have it hold you close enough and not have to worry about you holding it there.

Skip, think I'm going to be happy I got the longer boat when I join you out in E Texas for retirement. One of the Granger Gang guys gave me some pointers on using iPilot in the wind on Granger. Going to give it a try this weekend. Will be wife's first time on the boat. Think she will love it as much as me...

Depending on where you move to there should be good fishing pretty close by. I don't fish Rayburn or have not in a good while, but f I want to it's only like 20-25 miles from my home here at 6 mile where I live.
