I don't get too carried away. I only have 1- 8' and 1- 12' raised bed to tend to and 2/3 of the 8' bed is asparagus. I only plant peppers, tomatoes, okra, green beans and sometimes squash in the early to summer season, and not too many of those. I plant 7 top and mustard greens in August, that way they are ready for Thanksgiving for my Mom. I usually tend to the garden patch in the evenings, or after a fishing trip, those don't last all day anymore. Watering is handled by soaker hose and a watering timer.
