Size:  67.5 KB Yes, those were crappie! Setting my jig to just above that depth and drifting through it led to multiple thumps! After they got tired of playing, we moved to the docks. This morning it was sunny and hot, so that meant some dock shooting! I decided to shoot as well as work around the posts, so opted for a Lightning Rod with 2# Vicious, as opposed to my BnM Sharpshooter 6. The docks are where the black crappie seem to congregate on this stretch of the TN River. A purple and chartreuse Shadpole was the ticket today. Shoot and let it fall. I had to shake off the rust, as my shooting was not great at first, but progressively improved with a few more shots. I love to fish this way! Quit at 9:45 due to the heat.
