Water is released from the upstream dams. Obviously, it is the cooler water from the bottom, because Ft Loudoun started at 70-72 degrees this morning on the main channel. That’s amazing, considering the daytime temps are hitting upper 80’s to near 90. The morning was overcast, and we fished around docks in 15-25 FOW. Today was not a numbers day, but we did get a couple that were just shy of 14”. Most were near the bottom, on a purple/chartreuse tube, spiced up with a nibble and/or Slab Sauce. I caught a catfish that was an interesting few minutes on 4 lb test and a 8’ BGJP! Other than losing a rod to the mermaids, it was a great morning!Name: IMG_0973.jpg
