    Default When it rains

Water is released from the upstream dams. Obviously, it is the cooler water from the bottom, because Ft Loudoun started at 70-72 degrees this morning on the main channel. That’s amazing, considering the daytime temps are hitting upper 80’s to near 90. The morning was overcast, and we fished around docks in 15-25 FOW. Today was not a numbers day, but we did get a couple that were just shy of 14”. Most were near the bottom, on a purple/chartreuse tube, spiced up with a nibble and/or Slab Sauce. I caught a catfish that was an interesting few minutes on 4 lb test and a 8’ BGJP! Other than losing a rod to the mermaids, it was a great morning!Name: IMG_0973.jpg

I'm expecting the mermaids to start posting selfies on book face any day now... I've given them enough phones over the years...
'Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see:
The blind see and the lame walk; lepers are cleansed and deaf hear; dead are raised up and poor have the gospel preached to them.
And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me... Matthew 11:4-6

Nice Crappie and Old Slimer! Knock on wood but in my 40+ years of fishing I have only lost one rod overboard while fishing, but ran into a buddy of mine who was putting in the same day and I knew he had an old Aqua Vu on board. He actually went and found my rod and reel that evening and returned it to me the next day. I have broke my fair share, but never donated one to the mermaids.

Looked with DI, but I couldn’t I.D. it. Drug trebles. I thought about diving for it, but then remembered that I’m 58!
