If I am going to just look at the lake I will usually go to Harrison Bay State Park or up lake to the Cherokee Removal Park at the confluence of the Tennessee and Hiawassee Rivers. There are many other great places to check out as well including River Park starting at the tail waters of Chickamauga Dam and traveling several miles to Chattanooga.
