The fishing does seem to be better than the last two years. Also don't be fooled those carp are there and probably more coming in the spillway as we speak with the high water levels but they just don't jump like they do in warmer weather.

After kinda retiring I bought a boat and started fishing at Reelfoot since it is only about a 40 minute drive a little over 2 years ago. I haven't been able to catch more than a couple of crappie during trips at various times of the year. I went 3 times last month and caught 5, 5 and 6; yesterday I caught 10 with the biggest about a 15" one weighing 1.63 lbs. I only had one less than a pound. I didn't even see a carp jump yesterday!
Is Reelfoot coming back?
