Had a couple free hours this afternoon, so decided to take a quick trip to Ft. Loudoun at the Singleton ramp. Because we only had a couple of hours, ran to one of my favorite brush piles, which is currently 15 - 17 FOW. Started and finished with BGBS, Blue Grass, and a great jig head I purchased from Grousefly (the guy does good work!). Flipped across the brush and let it pendulum back to the boat. Had a pretty good bite for the two hours, and kept 9 big uns! Caught at least that many more. However, you had to be a line watcher! The bigger ones would just create slack or cause the line to jump. All were caught on the swing or held still. They didn't want it swimming!
Had a great afternoon with my wife, and we both needed some "fun" fishing! I have been fishing in the ETCC tourneys this year, and it is super fun, but I have always loved competition. A great bunch of folks who make you feel welcome, thump you fishing, and then tell you how they fished! The education opportunity is why I joined, but the fun and quality folks is what makes me look forward to it every month! The next tourney is a week from Saturday on Cherokee Lake, and all are welcome to participate! Cherokee is a lake I have never fished, so for anyone who knows the lake, please feel free to PM me!!!!

Going to try to add a picture, as I finally took some after the trip, but before the "deed"!
Great looking mess of fish. We are looking forward to cherokee tourney as well. We are going this weekend to do some scouting and pre-fishing with the pretty weather that is forecasted. I'll let you know if we find em.
