Best advice I can give you is don't put your boat in the lake if it's fiberglass. Could get very expensive. As far as ramps, put in somewhere around lake view restaurant. That's the deeper areas of the lake. I've been the last couple days and haven't seen many fish boated at all. Think I'll give her a break. Good luck brother.

Thanks smith I didn't realize that a fiberglass boat wouldn't work on this lake. I thought it might be ok to use in the deeper part of the lake. Anyone have any more advice that might help.

If you just use the trolling motor you should be OK and will see some of the stumps before you hit them. Other wise use at you own risk. Reelfoot is not friendly to boats, even those that know the lake well.

I would suggest trimming your motor up to where the foot of your motor is the only thing in the water and then idle. You will most likely end up sliding over a stump. I'm no expert on glass boats and I don't know if they will be damaged sliding over a stump that is submerged a few inches under the water. I see a lot of glass boats on the lake.

You will see boats running fast, don't follow them until you learn the lake very well. Just my 2 cents.

fibroglass will work, just idle around. do NOT go fast

I see glass boats on the lake just about everytime I go out but like Ark. said trim it up and just go slow you should be fine

Thanks guys I've wanted to fish this lake for awhile. I was real concerned about the ramp and stumps. I'm not going tommorow but it won't be long.

Ive seen some stumps with rebar sticking out of them.....idle for sure
