    Perch is part of the problem. Bass fishermen have to many tournaments both day and night. Lots of stress and when you pull them away from their young and carry them off to the weigh-in they never get back to protect the young ones, so they become a food source for all other fish. My co-worker bass fishes, and he has for a long time been saying the bass were gone in size. I hope it comes back for the bass guys, but it may take a while like it did for the crappies. JMO

    I dont know if it's hurting the crappie population on Russell or not, but those gaint stripers are eating something. And it being a trophy lake aint helping to decline their numbers either.

    crappie took 10.38 to win in TOUGH conditions on Jan 8th. I'm sure it wouldve been good for another lb had we had stable weather that week. Still don't think it's what it was. I used to love Wylie. I did see a lot of bait though. Most of what I saw was in the river channel.
