Like your skiff, I'm just swapping over to one from my Duracraft jon boat. Mine is much smaller than yours though.
I made one stab at using the grips before the line broke. We love the skiff. The guys at Ankona make some really nice skiffs for the money. We liked that you could design them from the ground up to be as basic or as elaborate as you want.
