When I had my Carolina Skiff the features on the I-pilot trolling motor did OK but nothing as good as it does with a much heavier V-hull boat that I have now. Guess what I'm saying is the I-pilot is a great tool for crappie fishermen but it does work better on some boat designs than on others. Good luck with your new TM.
