After three straight weekends of working at the lake property in Tamassee SC, on Whitewater lake near Keowee. I took a couple of vacation days to do a little fishing at Santee. The fishing was a little weird today, meaning most spots held only a single good fish. The biggest advantage to having hundreds of brush to choose from is one fish per brush equates to hundreds of fish caught, lol. It was a fun day of fishing, though I did burn a lot of gas moving around so much. Around a 125 crappie were caught on the day. All fish were caught off brush piles on straight jigs in water ranging from 7 to 24 feet with one pole. Pink and chartreuse was the best color. Water temps were 89 degrees.
