ScooperDude, not sure about holly bushes...I determine length by depth of water I'm dropping in.

I just trimmed peach trees and have quite a few limbs
Are peach branches good under water? Last a while?

Slabs 101 Did you drill thru the vertical pipes then slide the smaller ones thru on the water?
More info please. It looks like those just lay on the bottom on their sides? Do you anchor them? How many cross pipes?

I cement one end in a cardboard box
I slide smaller ones in on lake I put bolts thru small pve on each side of bigger pvc so they stay in

Ive set out 10 with one boat trip

Ive also mixed pvc and bamboo

bamboo being best option but Pvc is more cost effective because they last forever
Less than $15 per Pvc set that includes cement,Pvc,Bolts

I probably have $400 in Wylie PvC brush piles
    Some are 15 years old

I havent put any out in 3 years Had back Surgery
I use to put out 10-12 a year
I have 38 marked on my map now

If managed right these will produce lots of Crappie
I Only catch 4-5 crappie on one pile and i keep moving ( crappie will replinsh fast if you dont sit and empty each pile)
20 spots 4 or 5 crappie each I go home
With my back I cant fish all day

Oh yea I never lose a jig in PVc or Bamboo
