    Cool Lake Sucession today

I left the house around 6:30 this morning and drove over to Sucession(2 hour drive). Pulled jigs with 1/8 oz head at 1.0 mph. Caught fish on just about any color combo. Must of caught 25 little spotted bass with maybe 10 being keepers and released all to grow up. I caught about 40 to 50 crappie and bought home 16 fish over 10 inches. After I had all I wanted to clean I released another 10 to 15 good keepers around 10 inches. Water temp was 71 degrees. I want to also mention that this was my first crappie trip since my cancer surgery and also my first trip in my new to me boat that I have had for a year. Should be good for the meet and greet. See you there don

Good to hear you got on the lake and had a very good catch. The water is looking good and the temps are going to be right. Next Saturday the fishing should be awesome for everyone.

Thanks for posting the report Don.

Thanks guys. It sure felt good to feel the tug of a good crappie on the line. Some places had a lot of trash floating. Hope it is gone by next week. Bite is gonna get better the cooler the lake gets. Talked to several people at landing and about all patterns was working. One man was fishing over brush with minnows and he said he caught about 40 but only had 10 keepers. Most boats were longlinning. Don

Congratulation Don! Glad you had a great day. I'm on vacation week after next may have to ride that way. I've never been to Lake Secession. Thanks for sharing.
