Finally ran across a stick steer boat after having a couple sold before I could get to look at them. I did not realize used stick steer boats were so hard to find. This one popped up right here in Lexington. The gentleman selling it had bought it new and, due to several surgeries over the years he had used it very little. He told me he believed the motor(1999 40HP Yamaha) had less than 50 hours on it. It has been sitting in his garage for the past 18 months and he finally admitted to himself that he would never use it again.
So I became the proud owner of a 1999 Duracraft Stick Steer, 40 Yamaha with T&T, sitting on a Wesco galvanized trailer. I am taking it to my mechanic in the morning to have him go through it and change to foot oil, water pump, plugs and clean the carbs. Not sure what we will run in to as the guys used ethanol gas treated with Stabil, but sitting that long, who knows.
Anyway, I am looking forward to rigging it out and getting it on the water.
Here are a couple of pics and yes my Tracker in the background will be for sale shortly, but first I am moving the I-Pilot and HDS7 to the Duracraft.
All this assuming I did not get a lemon with a bad motor.

Great find Ray! A little cleaning, some tune up work (hopefully), and a few crappie scales and you'll be set! My dad absolutely loves his tracker panfish he bought last year!
Hooking up every chance I get!
Good find Ray! Look forward to seeing fishing pics out on this machine.
Be careful you will run into a tree.......Lol! You will love it, those rigs everything is right there at the front seat. You will get lazy. I used to have one in another life, used to fish Santee with it all the time. One day the little pin on the steering cable broke, I was sliding around the cypress trees just below where the river dumps into stump hole swamp and my brain forgot to pull the throttle back. So I ended up hitting a tree. Those marsh reeds stopped me, and once I said, I am still alive, survived again, I limped it to the trailer.
Hey change the trailer tires also, even if they look good, most likely they are not. Enjoy your new toy. Kit
Great find, those are nice, well built boats. Very similar situation is how I found my Wareagle VS. Love that stick steer. Mine had sat in shed for almost 2 years. Battery's, cleaned out fuel tank, lower oil, pump. Fired right up ran couple strong doses of sea foam and been running like a top since. I love fishing down in the boat and not having to get up for anything. Once again congratulations on a great find.

Kit, I learned my lesson many moons ago.
I checked the manufacture date on the tires and they were 8 to 10 years old. I used his compressor to pump up the two on the trailer and he said "Don't forget the spare" . I told him they only had to go 2 miles to my tire dealer. I left his house and went straight to the store and put new tires on it. Then I changed the gas line and flushed out the tank and put ethanol-free super in it along with Seafoam. Took it to my mechanic this morning. Will see what he finds.
