    Not yet, the owners manual said that that should only be done at factory, but shows you how to do it. I'm going to try that next.

    I was talking about calibrating the motor position relative to the centerline of the boat.

    Hill, u have a problem there. It should be making every attempt possible to stay on course. Many times my boat would be going completely sideways in the wind but the motor was working constantly to correct the course. I'm not familiar with the workings of the Motorguide, but that is not satisfactory. If it were an option, I would return or exchange if possible. Hope all works out for you.

    Try the calibration first. Look in the pinpoint manual, page 9, calibrating mounting angle.

    Yes I have the motor set up as instructed in book. I have noticed the problem only starts after I change course from original coordinate. Like it is searching. If I turn off and then set new course it runs straight until I make an adjustment to my course again.
