Thread: Broad river trip

A popular place to raft would be from Wildcat bridge down to the bowman bridge (mostly rapids when theres enough water in the river). I havent been there in years so since there's already a business that rents rafts, kayaks, etc. and supplies the transportation to and from I'm not too sure about where you can launch and take out now unless you rent from them. As far as fishing, the river down between the Washington Hwy (out of Elberton) and the shoals has the deepest waters in the river and catfishing with rod and reel should be pretty good. It's been along time since I fished the river but I still hear of some great catches of catfish using bank hooks.
