Default Memorial Day Weekend's Almost Here!

Anybody got plans? I wouldnt be surprised to see full campgrounds with alot of water lice running around, not to even mention the pleasure boaters out and about. If youre fishing I'd suggest either at the crack of daylight or nightstalking. The weather looks pretty good. Light winds and a small chance of late afternoon storms (I think they just throw that in there for good measure during the hot months). Anybody vacationing, camping, fishing, etc?

I'm gonna leave the water to the Holiday revelers till next week. We had a couple of folks killed on Murray a couple of years back so I've steered clear of the summer holiday trips. Hoping next week will be cooler, did not like the temps today at all, too hot!

Looks like a great weekend to fish if you can find some calm water I am also setting the lakes out but may have a chance to fish some small waters.

I pulled the boat up about 30 feet and pressure washed the concrete under it, sprayed the leaves off the cover and put it back to bed. I learned to stay home on Holiday weekends, way better for my blood pressure. Seems there is always something that needs doing before the boat hits the water these days

As of now, me and Allen plan on hitting the water Monday at daylight and fish to around 10AM. I've found on holiday weekends you have the water pretty much to yourself until after then. That's when the campers wake up and get fed and the water lice and pontoons start running EVERYWHERE. That's alright though......it's their time of the year between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
