I am leaving early Friday headed to Florida to fish Okeechobee. Mainly going after Bream and Oscars but I snuck in a crappie pole and minnow bucket. This is my first trip with these fellows so I am kinda following their lead. Been packing all day, feel like I am moving. Will be there a week staying at a Marina on the big "O" in Clewiston.
Only regret is that the weather is finally turning on here so hate to miss a week but looking forward to new adventure.
    Y'all catch a bunch.

You will have a great time down there Sea Ray ! Good fishing, too bad the bream limit is 25 now, or so I heard! Be careful on 95, I hate that road! Last time I went I used 301 through Georgia and most of Florida, A little longer but little traffic and yahoos...

gabowman try jig fishing in the grass and lillies you may be surprised at what you catch, try this cover in water 5 to 8 ft. Fish where the grass has broken off and is floating in the lillies. You will have a blast catching bream and oscars. Take a pole with some back bone for them oscars. The fish in the grass will be crappie. Hope you have a great and safe trip.

Yea...you got that right! I'll be fishing first of next week though as long as the wind and rain is gone.
