Separation is the key! Get some 18ft rods and fill in the gaps with 3ft separation between rod tips. Boat 6ft. wide plus 2 eighteen foot rods gives you 42 feet of coverage. You can easily get 14 rods out with 3ft of separation. Key is to be quick getting to the rod and get the fish moving. When Im fighting a big fish, I will raise the 2 rods on both sides to get the tips in the air. Almost at a 45 angle. Helps get the lines out of the water a lil. I use driftmasters and 10ft rods for my middle 8 rods so it's easy to move them up and down quickly. You can't do that with other holders and short rods. I will always use double jigs long lining. I like catching 2 at a time. The tangles is something you just can't avoid sometimes though. Comes with the territory sad to say.
