I was recently blessed to find this amazing board. I live up in Pickens and after fishing Jocassee for several years, I've decided to focus on Russell and the Hill this year. This is the most helpful board I've ever encountered. Most boards won't give you the time of day as far as help goes.
And help, is what I'll need. The missus and I fished Allen Creek on Friday the 5th and found plenty of wind!! (and seagulls) Actually 'fished' is a misnomer because I was in the first two hours of breakin on my new outboard. The 13 year old Tohatsu 15 needed to go and was replaced with an 8hp Merc 4-stroke. What a dream.
I fish a 15'-6" Gheenoe, which also has 13 years on it. After all the bigger boats I've had in life, I settled on this one for retirement. Oh, did I mention I'm a retiree and mid-week warrior? I don't do Saturdays any more.
I really look forward to meeting some of you fellows and getting to know you. I probably will be pretty regular here also, since I have a long history of hanging out on assorted BB's.
I lurked for about a week until Ed could un-glitch account activation - so I already like what I see of the tone of this place - A LOT!!
I look forward to a long association. cap
I'm retired and fishin' the mid-week:D

Welcome man, i live right out of Pickens on Hwy 11 in Sunset, SC. I actually go to Pickens High SChool!
Welcome to the board. You find a lot of yarns, lies, and legends on this board but most of all you'll find a lot of really good folks who love to fish! Glad to have you join us.
Welcome aboard to you and the Mrs.. The shad die off is keeping most of us off Russell right now but we will be fishing it soon. Rocky River sounds like the place to fish right now and is only a few more miles down hwy 81.
Jump right on in with us and make yourself at home. Look at the post about our Crappiefest that's coming up in April, come join us.

Welcome, we're delighted to have you! Y'all just gotta plan on coming down in April for the CrappieFest...it's going to be a load of fun, food, and fellowship.
I better clarify here. Rocky River is a BIG creek arm. The very best places on it are Burdawg's secret crappie holes...but he hasn't quite got around to sharing those exact locations with us yet....maybe by the crappiefest..:D
