Default Slow Weekend...Final Voyage of the Minnow

Well me and a buddy took the minnow (the name my little jon boat has been given) for her final voyage.:D It wasn't a bad morning until 10. We caught a lot of fish early, but most were throwbacks. Did manage 10 keepers with one going 1.5 lb and a bonus WP and catfish. My dad and uncle added another 5 keepers to the mess. The fish they were on first thing in the morning quit at 8:30! Had to get em quick.

We fished on Sunday too and managed 12 keepers, but they quit again at about 9:30. Them fish are some funny creatures. They'd be biting good one minute and then they would slow down to just little one tug hits and then it'd be all over! Couldn't buy a bite after that! I'm pumped about taking the new boat out and getting it broke in with a slab or two or twenty! Can't wait for next week because its my Spring Break!!!! Watch out crappie, you can run, but you can't hide! I'll find you somewhere on that lake...:D

Hey young man you did better than me. I only managed two and one of them wouldn't have may a keeper next year either. Friday the wind was tuff for me. I also seen your new boat, NOW THAT YOU'VE UPGRADED DON'T start washing us fellas up with that rig.

Nice boat for sure hope you have fun with it. I still have a 1436 I use in the edisto river redbreast fishing I enjoy it; but your right larger less considerate boats can make for an interesting ride.
    If you don't get hung every-once-n-a-while you ain't jigg'n it right..:D
