I made and painted the dash panels out of some 1/8 I had. Had the idea of painting the panels black but it just didn’t look right, so a trip with the 600 grit and presto!! Now they’re charcoal gray. The left one is screwed down but the other is just hangin around. Gonna tape the edges and start the wiring when the time comes. Gonna try to get a lot of it done before I put it back in. I need to find a little tray to throw jigs and junk in when I’m busy toptheretying. Thinking of a lip around the top of the console too.

Yes, the top of the console is a great place to put stuff like lures etc.
On 0ne of my boats i had holes on top due to wires etc. and i made a cover for the entire top from starboard with a 3/4” high ledge around the sides.
