IMHO, all foam will eventually turn into a sponge if its able to sit in water, even closed cell foam. It has to be able to drain. Just keep that in mind when putting your pieces back together. All the foam on the side walls I see in your pics is the good foam cause any water can drain away from it. Fun, fun project. You'll make it just like you want it. Chucker is the best. Thanks Eric. Like a lot of us, I don’t sit around very well. Best when I have sumthin to do. Parts came in today and got installed and now the live well is done except for the hinge and lid. Still kickin around options. I have a couple of seats that i might try but I think I want a cushioned with no swivel so it can be used from any direction. Still thinkin on that. I put the console back in today so I could figure out how I’d find where it had to go back to once the carpet is in and any marks covered over. I think I’m going to try something different. I want the console to mount to the floor and not over the carpet. So I’m going to take a small bit of contact cement and stick some 1/8” by one inch down to the track for the console then carpet right over it. Once it’s set some I’ll cut both sides of the strip and remove what I don’t want, install the console and move on. I can see wiring in my near future. Gonna be soon that I’ll be ready for it. Got the shelf area put in today and wrapped the side also. Didn’t know i was getting photo bombed by one of the neighbors. Swapped out the TM with the 12Volt version. Just didn't have room for the second battery. Also moved the bilge pump next to the recirculate pump. The knee brace for the transom sits down the middle and before the pumps were one on each side. That was fine but the fuel cell couldn’t turn sideways and now it can, which frees up some space for the guest in back. Now to rig the plumbing for it tomorrow, shouldn’t be that big a deal.

I’m just about ready for carpet. I have a decision to make about painting some of the original color of the boat to cover fade and discoloration. It isn't terrible and still has some shine in places. One option is to scuff sand it and shoot clear over it. Saving the original patina. One way or the other I’m not painting the bilge area, I think. The floor area in the very back got the floor painted instead of carpet. Easier to clean and will drain better. Fuel tank and battery area were both real dirty when I removed them. Tell me your thoughts……

Man, that is coming along real nice Tim. Had you thought about using something like Seadeck decking. non-staining washable. granted a bit more pricy than carpet. Many colors and styles.

I did Eric. Money wasn’t much different and I could use some of it to line the rod shelf. May look and see if can do that as it would be drier, wouldn’t hold the water as long. I’ve bought carpet so that may get the nod instead. My decision that needs done before i can put any flooring down is the paint on the original area’s. Doesn’t look terrible and won’t rust but I'm not painting anything once the flooring is done.
