I tried this today and it worked. Just put your finger on the screen and stroke down and the screen stops with cursor on the screen. Now you can touch anywhere on the screen and the cursor will mark that location. Hit back and the screen starts scrolling again.



Crm, don't forget you have to make that waypoint by touching the little tab that comes up in the top right corner of the screen. If you use the mark button at he bottom of the screen, it will mark the waypoint where the boat is sitting.
