I haven't had that issue.one of the things I don't understand is, when different frequencies are chosen, are the cone angles changing? Here's a picture of 1/16 JIG in structure and a crappie biting it....

I haven't found any information on cone angles yet in the HB CHIRP ...

    Kosmo,

    Thanks

That's what I was afraid of. You would think that after almost 2 years that they might have gotten around to fixing it.

Seams like the fixed frequencies are working best for me. Particularly, the medium frequencies.

    Kosmo,

That is one great 2D image! It appears that it is showing fish tthat don't appear in the DI. My experience has usually been the opposite with DI being more detailed. Did you experiment with other fixed frequencies & determine that 95 was the best? And any thoughts why higher frequencies were not as good?

The DI view is zoomed, so that makes it a little hard to compare. 95khz seems best for me. The high frequency works to tho. So far, it seems that I don't need the chirp turned on in the Dept water I'm fishing.

I don't no. The only si that I've done, was what your seeing in those pictures. I've got my transducer mounted on the xi5. The xi5 wobbles really bad.

Bob, I checked the si/di today. Your right, it doesn't look right while chirping. I think it gets compressed, somehow. When I turn chirp off, it seems to return to normal tho.
