Hmmm ..... That makes sense. I imagine the 2D is using a LOT more processing power....and maybe the ping sequence changed to give the 2D more priority.

Don't get me wrong. It still works great. The only time I'm seeing this is real shallow water. The chirp probably shouldn't be on anyhow, in this shallow of water. Here's a video that I did out in deeper water. I'm running the outboard and using the xi5 to steer. The transducer is mounted on the trolling motor.https://youtu.be/_WpZdK1Jegc
Here's pictures of chirp and fixed frequencies, in shallow water, with the si/di. http://i826.photobucket.com/albums/z...psudzcmyit.jpghttp://i826.photobucket.com/albums/z...pstcgrxrce.jpghttp://i826.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps8j4kjplr.jpghttp://i826.photobucket.com/albums/z...psbrkq46ki.jpghttp://i826.photobucket.com/albums/z...psxhk3txnj.jpg
Here's two, running high chirp. Seems to me, as long as I'm in 20ft.+ water the chirping doesn't affect the si/di. http://i826.photobucket.com/albums/z...psx6mtupfg.jpghttp://i826.photobucket.com/albums/z...psx6mtupfg.jpghttp://i826.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps7gwqphs8.jpg
