    .

That a tremendous help....... I will have to relocate my 2d ducer to an area similar to yours I think..... Either that or I might have enough of a gap between the back of the step and the LSS ducer to keep it where I have it..... If all else fails I'll just do shoot through hull with the 2D ...... Didn't really want to go through hull because of H2O temp readings .......but I def want depth readings on plane ....... Again that pic helps a ton, thank you

The installation instructions says line the middle line on the transducer with the bottom line of the boat.

My current 2D ducer is in a spot that I'm pretty confident will interfere with my side scan readings..... My current 2 D ducer reads on plane and is in a good spot, but when I put my new unit on the boat I'll have to relocate the 2d ducer to keep it out of the LSS beam...... It looks like I can do something similar to what you've done

I guess the reason I'm not having a problem with interface is because the water I'm facing in not that deep
    10-30 ft.

But I'll test it out in deeper water and see of I'll get interface Just to see.

The SI "thin slice" beams are very wide top to bottom ... but very thin front to back (approx. 3° front to back) ...

The below depiction is for the HB 800kHz SI beam ... But the LSS 2 is similar ...
