When you put the card in you need to select the correct card see video Navionics Knowledgebase - How to view SonarCharts on Humminbird (Video)

To clarify you guys are talking about the map in the Chart Installer program itself correct? The map in their is designed for selecting and downloading areas not mapping or planning, it is meters remember the company is based out of Italy. The same data is available on the Web App on the front page, which you can select feet and meters.

Once on the chip it you can select feet or meters in your sonar. I will check to see if their are plans to change it so you can switch between feet and meters in the chart installer

Yes. I am talking about the installer program shows meters and I saw no way to change it to feet. So, you are saying that once I put the chip in my 899, I can convert the info to feet- by selecting "feet" as the unit on measure in my "set up" pages on the Humminbird screen?

The chart installer was not meant to be used as a planning tool, if you want to view the Mapping of a body of water go to the WebApp on the main page, here you can change it to feet and meters and so on. The chart installer is meant to select an area and download it to your card. I am looking at mine and its in meters on the chart installer.

Once your card is installed in your sonar if you have selected feet it will be feet.

Something I noticed with my plus chip in a Humminbird. Sometimes turning the unit on, it didn't go directly to the plus chip. Then when I went to the chart select menu, it wasn't there. I had to pull the chip out, then reinstall it, before the chart select menu showed.
