    Default DownScan Interpretation Request ?

I took these DownScans with my HDS10 yesterday on a local Texas lake.
Water depth was about 12-20 feet.

Do you think these are crappie ?

    thanks !

I'm far (FAR) from being an expert like some of these guys, but it seems to me that these pics are a little "hot", like the contrast or sensitivity is too high. On HB's, you can get to one of these spots with a good scene like you have, then you hit the cursor button to freeze the frame. Once the scene is frozen you can go into your menu and begin adjusting your settings up or down and see what different effects you can come up with. Maybe you can take one of those settings down until that bright white you have on the bottom and on those rocks gets a bit darker. You might be able to get better definition on trees and brush

What gets me is to see maybe 100 fish and have them not bite at all or just a few fish

Yes crappie for sure. They hold to structure like that. I'd drop a jig or two for sure.
