    Many color sonar units these days offer several 2d palettes to choose from...

    The colors entailed in each Palette choice mean something more than to just make pretty sonar images...

    Here is the HB Original Palette as an example...

    What factor(s) dictate which color in the chosen Palette scheme get "painted" on each pixel (or group of pixels)...??
