I don't know but I'm getting sick of hearing about Garmin and nobody posting any user screen shots! Yeah I've seen the promo shots but I want to see images from guys like us. (Non sponsored)

Any opinions on the quality of the side and down images of a lowrance gen 2 with their sonar hub added to get chirp vs the Garmin 840 units with their black box added for chirp? Both units using the TM150 transducer.
Thanks

I'm not sure the TM 150 is shipping yet???? Anyone know for sure? I haven't heard anyone on any forum talk about it yet.

How is the average crappie fisherman going to benefit from chirp? From what I've read it's great in water deeper than 100' and I've also seen Fishtons images. I'd be willing to say most crappie fishermen never fish deeper than 25', I don't see the advantage. Target separation, is it better than di?
Justinp, from what I've seen chirp is much better 2D and if incorporated with DI, it would give much more detail, at least that
is what I'm hoping to see. All I've seen so far are U-tube videos and don't know if they are real or doctored up.

I dont think CHIRP in shallow water wiil be as much about "target separation" as it is the total amount of data from the "string of frequency band pulses" that can be processed by the CHIRP xducer/processor combination...
More data is always, always, always better for more detailed images...

I figure it like this:
If chirp tech can show me accurately that brush pile x is holding crappie, then I'm fishing it hard.
I'm still just guessing in reality
