I know, I frequent 3 different fishing sites and there have been ZERO images from regular guys. It looks good but I'm not falling into the current Onix trap with all the hardware issues & such. I will just keep on waiting and keep on using my HDS graphs.

    I don't think it'll work that way.

The reason there are so few screenshots from the Garmin is that there is an issue on the screen capture system via the network, i.e white lines across the screen.

I doubt I'd scrap my Touches for anything regardless how good it MIGHT be. But, if I needed to make a new purchase I'd sure give both Garmin and Raymarine a long hard look. They both may be new to shallow, fresh water fishing but, they both have great reps
for saltwater and I'm thinking they will both be worthy competitors for L and HB and force both off their duffs and budget more towards R&D and new product development. Just sayin.....

    Justin,
What is your thinking on all this? How do you locate fish?
    Thanks

Until we get a camera down in the brush there is going to be some interpretation required when looking at any of our current systems. Where I fish, I can pretty accurately determine when there are crappie on a certain structure but, I never know for sure until I drop a jig into it and catch one. So, it's just an educated guess. What I'm hoping to eventually find is a system that more accurately tell me where the crappie are! BUT, when that happens, I'm thinking the fun will go out of fishing and I'll have to find something more challenging to do with my time. It sure is fun to get out with nature and enjoy the frustration of trying to catch a new record crappie. And it doesn't mean I'm going back to my old 1950's technology either!

I have a Garmin 70DV and am very satisfied with it. Haven't added the black box yet, and am undecided if I will. If you want some screen shots, PM me and I will send you an address so you can make a donation towards the purchase of a black box. Meanwhile, I'll just just enjoy what I have.
