Yesterday I checked my system from a bank. It really works: if fish tracks are seen in both windows the fish is in center, if in upper window it is on the left, if in lower window it is on the right. Actually I am not very happy with it – in up and down windows it is very hard to compare and see distances to fish tracks, and the windows are also two times sorter in height , it would be much easier to do if windows were side by side (not up and down) like in Lawrence HDI units – they also have up and down splitting plus three more other options of splitting, but Humm DI units just one. I think I will go back to single DI transducer installation:

well I think it still turn out ok and you prove it can be done. I don't understand how it work that well with out ducer finding bottom considering it is level to water? can you adjust it to different heights?
Yes, I adjust it to different heights rotating a reel connected to the two pound weight via line, and fix ducer at very top of surface or close to bottom sending the beam very far or just several feet away of a bank. It always shows fish even though bottom is very far, and is not seen on the screen.
I simplified my system - now it is a cast transducer system:) . It is very light, quick and do not cause restrictions for fishing rods:

That's some interesting things you have accomplished there...
Rickie
Today I have seen a lot of fish (small) from 10ft till 150ft away of a bank, and caught a little :)

Rnvinc, i'm giving you a new name, Thomas Edison it's amazing the things you do for the fishing world and the experimental things you try. I thought of the name gizmo but your way beyond that. Great job ! :ThumbsUp
