Over many years of crappie fishing I have places 100's of brush piles in many different lakes. It doesn't take much time to improve lake cover for fish. I have had people move my piles when the lake level drops, this really gets in my craw! There are many out there that fishes brush piles and never even thinks about putting in a little work to improve the piles they fish. Once in the lake the brush piles are everyone's to fish and I have some that are over 40 years old that no telling how many crappie have been pulled of those piles. If you are new to crappie fishing and to brush pile fishing take the time to learn about crappie, their movements and cover they need, then help place some brush piles or improve the ones you fish. It helps you and every other fisherman, even helps the lazy fisherman.
