Thread: Winds of Change

What a shut down in the action. High gusting winds kicking up some 4-5 foot waves shutting the fishing down. Just a couple of hours before we were filling the cooler and now we had all to do to get a bite. We bounced our way out deep for a afternoon and hit 3 fish and the next morning we hoped to find ice cold water from the west wind and it did not change at all. Pushed our way out deep and managed 6 fish, but it was a bumpy ride. The looks were deceiving as from shore the west winds made it appear to be calm but out in the fishing zone was another story. We got to see a number of ships go by as they came closer to shore to get out of the big waves.
