A run to the Abyss

Made the run to the Abyss, Thursday the west wind pushed us out deep and we continued on beyond 570 feet some 16 plus miles out. Had some increadable rainbow action but had to call it at 17 in the boat when the winds started to change. A long hour and a half run back and a very clean boat when we got back. Surprizingly the high lines only got a couple of hits and the downriggers with slidders from 28-65 feet down were getting pounded. All colors of spoons were getting hit. It was fun to disappear in the middle of the lake but keep in mind cell phones don't work out there and you want to have a middle man set up to hear you on the radio if you need a weather update.
