Just wondering if the marabou crappie jigs are any good? What color is your favorite?
good for vert jigging and spider rigging. they hold scent and have great action when going slow. colors are gonna depend on water color and temp. in my opinion.
some people swear by em, i really dont like using them, never had much luck with em, BUT i guess its all on how you use em. I would reather have a stick tail grub or slab slayer if i vertical jig which i very rarely do and when i spider rig which i only do a few times a year i like to use the Ron Zip jigs or either Slater jigs. if we knew where you were located someone could prob also help ya a lil more
I agree with the previous posts too. They say the marabou jigs when held still, appear to be breathing underwater. So if you can hold them as still as possible, which is difficult to do, the jig will actually be slightly moving, which can trigger bites that other jigs won't. I have slowly been coming around to using them more often. I am about to purchase more online, so it's kind of funny to see this post today.

Depending on what part of the county you reside, you'll probably need to drive a little to get to the better lakes over near Lakeland. Just my two cents.
you got a couple of options in Tampa. you have Manattee to the south, Tarpon to the west, Medard in 2 years will be a great spot, and silver and panasofskee to the north. And dont overlook the bypass canal. Its a great practice spot.
